Course Description

This course has been created to provide a good level of understanding of Project Management as a job function. The course is aimed at individuals who are involved in the creation and/or delivery of project based tasks as part of their day to day activities.

The course will explain all of the terminologies deployed, modern project management techniques and explain the various control measures available to ensure the delivery of a successful project.

Course Goals

  • Understand the fundamental principles and processes of project management

  • Understand the entire project lifecycle

  • Determine what is the role of the various stakeholders

  • Clarify and understand project requirements

  • Define the project constraints

  • Determine the critical path

  • Be more aware of the various control mechanisms that can be deployed during the project

  • Create schedules, plan and manage resources within organizational constraints

  • Identify potential risks and know how to counteract them

  • Understand the importance of communication within the project team.
